We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an innovative automotive organization in Lund. In this role, you’ll be part of a cross-functional Data Engineering team responsible for building scalable, reliable, and reusable data solutions that support engineering teams across the product lifecycle.

You will work with large volumes of logs, telemetry, events, and measurement data, transforming raw information into trusted data products that enable better insights and decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Build automated solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and validation
• Develop and maintain shared data models and datasets
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and observability
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to enable data-driven insights
• Ensure delivered solutions are secure, maintainable, and well-documented
• Support the development of a sustainable and scalable data engineering capability

Who you are

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform development
• Strong experience developing production-grade data pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with APIs, telemetry data, event-driven systems, or large-scale datasets
• Experience with data modeling, orchestration, and pipeline monitoring
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Meritorious

• Experience from the automotive industry
• Experience working with embedded systems or connected products
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures
• Experience handling high-volume telemetry, logs, or time-series data
