ALTEN is growing and looking for an engaged Safety Lead/ Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work with autonomous Solutions operations in accordance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and internal governance requirements. The role is responsible for owning the safety case and acting as the safety authority for deployment decisions, including the safety go/no-go before solutions are released into operation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Define and maintain safety processes and governance across partner-delivered solutions.
• Own the safety case and hold the safety go/no-go decision before deployment.
• Escalate safety no-go decisions directly to the Managing Director when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and internal governance requirements.
• Support risk assessments and operational safety reviews.
• Collaborate with technical teams, operations, and external partners on safety-related matters.
