We at ALTEN Sweden are now looking for an experienced Function Developer to join our team for an exciting assignment within developing active chassis and suspension systems for the automotive sector in Gothenburg.

In this role, you will work with advanced vehicle systems, focusing on algorithm development, embedded software and testing to ensure the best possible driving experience. You will collaborate closely with test engineers, system architects, and safety specialists to develop and validate functions for the suspension system in the vehicle’s ECU.

Your Role

• Develop algorithms and embedded software for active suspension and chassis functions.
• Work with MIL (Model-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) for testing and validation.
• Collaborate with test engineers, system architects, and safety specialists to ensure the highest quality.
• Participate in requirement setting, test case development, and reporting for software development.
• Engage in physical vehicle testing and function validation.

Your Profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a Function Developer in embedded systems.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink for algorithm development and modeling.
• Valid B driver’s license (required for Sweden).
• Experience in vehicle dynamics (suspension experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of testing methodologies: MIL, SIL, HIL.
• Autosar expertise and experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANape).
• ISO26262 (functional safety).
• Version control (Git).
• Control theory and/or signal processing.
• Programming skills: C, C++, Python (advantageous).
• Agile methodology and ability to work in multicultural teams.
