We at Stockholm automotive team at ALTEN Sweden are looking for a test automation engineer with strong python programming skills to join our development team!

In this role you will take full ownership of the testing lifecycle within your team’s scope and be actively involved throughout the entire software development process—from early requirement analysis through to the resolution of production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for both UI and API components.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure testability.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Contribute to the improvement of test strategies and frameworks to increase coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and analyse issues found in production and work collaboratively to resolve them.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or other relevant field.
• Strong experience in test automation using Python.
• Proven track record of developing tests for both UI and APIs.
• Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, Requests, or similar.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience in end-to-end testing and working in CI/CD environments is a plus.
