Are you ready for your next challenge as a Customer Adaptation Designer?
ALTEN is now looking for a Customer Adaptation Designer (CA-Designer) for an assignment with one of our clients within the automotive industry. In this role, you will work with developing, designing, and documenting customer adaptation (CA) solutions based on specific customer requests, contributing to increased customer satisfaction and truck sales.
About the role
As a Customer Adaptation Designer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining CA solutions for both existing and future trucks. The work includes design, documentation, and continuous improvements of adaptation solutions in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role involves both hands-on design work and coordination with stakeholders across engineering, production, and market organizations.
Main responsibilities
You will maintain, develop, and design customer adaptation solutions based on requests and project needs, ensuring efficient and high-quality design for assembly. The role includes documenting solutions, supporting special vehicle offerings, and contributing to product and process development. You will work with part handling, technical documentation, and continuous improvements, while collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders across engineering, production, and other related functions.
Your profile
You are a structured and technically strong engineer with a solid understanding of complete vehicle systems and customer adaptation solutions. You are comfortable working across different technical domains and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
We see that you have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working with design within the automotive industry
- Experience with tools such as KOLA, CREO, and AutoCAD
- Good understanding of complete vehicle systems (cab, chassis, superstructure)
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Understanding of production processes, assembly, and logistics
- Experience working with systems such as KOLA, KAP, EDB, Software Configurator, and ACAD
- Ability to work with documentation, part numbers, and technical solutions
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
