ALTEN Is One of Sweden’s Most Attractive Employers

We are pleased and proud to announce our inclusion in the YPAI 2021 (Young Professional Attraction Index 2021). ALTEN is ranked number 57 out of 100, surrounded by companies we are both impressed and inspired by. A great start to the autumn!

It’s great to get a clear proof that ALTEN is perceived as an attractive employer by Young Professionals! It is a sign that we, all employees in our organization, are actively working for ALTEN’s success. Our business is based on people and it is of course very gratifying that our potential employees perceive us as a safe and developing workplace. We want to be the first partner of choice and this is a good indication that we are on the right track!

Anneli Westermark, Team Lead for Talent Acquisition at ALTEN Sweden.

Based on reputation, sucess and interest in the employer

The survey involved 5158 respondents and what is measured is the attractiveness of the employer. The measure is based on their reputation, success and how keen Young Professionals are to work for the employer. Three clear points that were echoed in the survey as important to Young Professionals were:

  • Strong brands: Strong brands provide a sense of stability and in times of crisis, job seekers turn to more stable companies, of which IKEA, Spotify and Google are clear examples.
  • Employer branding: Employer branding is a “must-have,” not a “nice-to-have.” Swedish employers who have continuously invested in and worked on their brand have noticed a positive difference over the past year, especially those with a focus on the environment.
  • A clear purpose:Young professionals want their work to have a clear purpose. They want to make a difference, which is one reason why companies working with medical technology and electric cars are attractive employers in Sweden.

Top list 2021

The employers in the survey come from a separate pilot study in which respondents described, in their own words, which employers they would most like to work for. The 100 most recurring employers among the free text responses make up this year’s list. Sweden’s most attractive employer is IKEA. The furniture company knocks down Google, which has topped the list for several years. This year’s newcomer is Avanza, the only bank to make it into the top ten.

  1. IKEA
  2. Spotify
  3. Google
  4. Microsoft
  5. Apple
  6. Essity
  7. Tesla
  8. ICA Gruppen
  9. Volvo Cars
  10. Avanza
