Workshop in collaboration with Engineers Without Borders

ALTEN Ideation for Humanity – the biggest workshop in ALTENs history!

,

During the ALTEN Day 2020, we performed the biggest workshop in ALTEN’s history! 900 colleagues brainstormed solutions to four actual cases from ongoing projects led by Engineers Without Borders in Tanzania and Nepal. We did not only come up with solutions to the projects, we also created new relationships with colleagues from other offices who we don’t meet in our everyday work. It was amazing to be able to accomplish this kind of workshop and powerful to see this many people with a great level of competence, work together for such a noble cause.

Collaboration between ALTEN and Engineers Without Borders

In 2018, ALTEN choose to dedicate our Christmas gift to Engineers Without Borders and their project to provide an orphanage in Tanzania with electricity through solar power. The decision to donate money to the organization also served as springboard for deeper collaboration between ALTEN and Engineers Without Borders.

Engineers Without Borders works with local organisations in projects which aims to improve the quality of life in poverty-stricken areas in different countries. The collaboration between ALTEN and Engineers Without Borders have not only resulted in two big donations, but also in support of competence where co-workers at ALTEN gave advice and supported the project to electrify the orphanage in Tanzania. ALTEN Ideation for Humanity is the latest investment in this collaboration.

About ALTEN Day

ALTEN Day is a yearly event where all employees at ALTEN are invited for one giant conference. During these days, we fill the program with inspiring lectures, activities for exchange of knowledge and skills, networking, togetherness and festivities with different themes every year. This year, the conference was held in Eriksbergshallen in Gothenburg where we gathered 900 of ALTEN’s superheroes under one roof. Get a glimpse of what it looked like in our aftermovie from ALTEN Day 2020!
