ALTEN Sweden is working with a global company in the biopharmaceutical industry in the development of new instruments and products, performing tests related to development of chromatography and filtration instruments. In a highly competitive and regulatory driven industry where safety always comes first, much emphasis is put on testing in the earlier development stages without compromising the need for innovation. The work includes setting up test methods, time planning, performing tests and producing technical documentation.
In order for the industry to focus on life-saving activities in the best way possible, the tools and services used are required to be as good as can be. In a team consisting of several Test & Verification Engineers, ALTEN is involved in supporting development projects of new generations of instruments for filtration and chromatography to provide pharmaceutical companies with tools to develop new medicine, treatments and vaccines.

Among other challenges, ALTEN is performing tests related to development of chromatography and filtration instruments. Depending on the complexity of a test and the available equipment, the tools and methods can vary from being straightforward to very complex. ALTEN’s hands-on experience of mechanical equipment and tools along with analytical and technical knowledge has generated in a successful partnership.
