We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in low-voltage systems design, testing, and troubleshooting to join ALTEN Sweden. In this role, you will focus on creating wiring diagrams, cable designs, and ensuring compliance with international and Swedish electrical standards. You will work closely with installation teams and clients in industries such as industrial automation, building electrical systems, and sustainable infrastructure.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Design and develop detailed wiring diagrams for low-voltage systems (e.g., lighting, fire alarm, security, automation).
• Perform cable calculations (cross-sectional area, insulation type, derating factors) using tools like ETAP or DIgSILENT.
• Ensure all designs comply with IEC 60364, NEC (NFPA 70), SS 424, and ELSÄK-FS 2023:1 standards.
• Select appropriate cable types (e.g., NYY, JY(St)Y, Cat6) and design cable routing, shielding, and grounding.
• Collaborate with installation teams to verify diagram accuracy and cable suitability.
• Optimize designs for sustainability (LEED/BREEAM certification is a plus).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Fluent in English

• 2+ years in low-voltage wiring diagram creation and cable design (power, control, or communication cables).

• Swedish is a strong advantage
