ABOUT THE ROLE
Your work will involve technical calculations, simulations, and documentation, using tools like MATLAB, PSCAD, and COMSOL. You will also participate in verification, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), troubleshooting, and site work to support the commissioning of HVDC systems.
Design and dimension electrical systems and auxiliary power systems for HVDC installations, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, and diesel generators. Perform technical calculations, simulations, and analyses for converter valves and cooling systems. Create technical specifications, system descriptions, and design documentation, and review supplier drawings for compliance. Participate in verification, FAT, troubleshooting, and site work, and collaborate with international teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in electrical design, power systems, or auxiliary systems (HVDC, FACTS/SVC, MV/LV, UPS, batteries).
- Proficiency in technical calculations, simulations, or modeling (e.g., MATLAB, PSCAD, COMSOL).
- Fluent English (required).
