Monitoring for heart surgery – Medistim

Medistim in Norway develops products for Transit Time Flow Measurement (TTFM) and ultrasound imaging products for intraoperative use designed for cardiac surgery. The products monitor and record that the heart continuously receives enough blood supply during cardiac surgery. Hotswap started a development project, together with Medistim, aiming to get a third generation of the products out on the market.

Hotswap was responsible for project management, electronics, mechanics and industrial design, and supported Medistim’s team with software, testing and quality assurance.

The third generation of the products is now introduced. The project was delivered on time, within budget, and the quality exceeded the expectations. It took two years from the start of the pre-study to the launch onto the market.
